Backpack & School Supply Drive
It’s time to gear back up for school to start in August!
Set To Thrive is partnering with school districts and local nonprofit agencies to provide over 300 foster and homeless kids in our community with new backpacks and school supplies! Each backpack will be filled with all the school supplies they need to feel prepared and confident when entering a new school year.
Backpack Drive Dates — June 26, 2023, through July 31, 2023
Help foster the future next school year by donating a new backpack and school supplies today and help foster and homeless kids thrive in school. Below are more details on all the ways that you can help and what we are looking for.

Host a Back-to-School Donation Drive!
Take a step further and host a Back-to-School Drive in your community or workplace! We will provide you with all the marketing materials and a donation box, and it’s easy to get involved. Email Lisa Henderson at lisa.henderson@settothrive.org to learn more or to get started.

Join Set To Thrive and Love You More for a fun night of shopping jewelry with a purpose for Mother’s Day and School Graduations while supporting local foster children.
20% of proceeds purchased at the event will go towards providing essential items to foster kids in Alameda County and Contra Costa County.
This is a FREE event and a great way to support your local shop and nonprofit!

Stuff A Bus!
Are you ready to Stuff A Bus for Children Entering Foster Care?
Join KKIQ and Mel McKay Friday, December 2, from 10 am to 2 pm at Stoneridge Shopping Center near the Cheesecake Factory.
Set To Thrive has been chosen as the charity of choice for the event! KKIQ and Mel McKay are calling on our community and local businesses to help stuff a Wheel’s Bus with new, much-needed items for kids who are entering the foster care system.
We (Set To Thrive) will then deliver them to children right here in our hometown.
Please bring your donations on Friday as we Stuff A Bus for Set To Thrive’s Foster Kids with 101.7 KKIQ!
Please new items only, we want to help boost the children’s comfort and confidence. Set To Thrive serves children entering the foster care system from newborn to 19.
